The Resident-Driven Program Tracking Tool (ReDPeTT) is an instrument created for Field Epidemiology Training Programs (FETP) to monitor the progress of their persons-in-training (residents) toward the completion of their graduation requirements.
FETP has three levels of training:
Frontline | 3 Months of Training
Intermediate | 9-12 Months of Training
Advanced | 24 Months of Training
.... and ReDPeTT has two versions:
ReDPeTT for Frontline that collects limited data on activities
ReDPeTT for Intermediate/Advanced that collects more detailed information
ReDPeTT addresses what makes FETP tracking and reporting challenging:
It is a web-based tracking system. Residents enter their own project data in the system and reduce staff workload. More importantly, FETP staff can review submitted data in real time. Finally, the modifiable user interface can currently translate the user interface and document uploads from English to the following languages: French, Spanish, Portuguese, Amharic, Russian, and Vietnamese.
